Business in Vietnam breakfast- 24 April

A group of business people interested in Vietnam trade opportunities gathered this morning for a Chamber hosted breakfast event at the CBD Mercure Hotel . Mr Nguyen And Tuan, a representative of the Trade Office of the Vietnam Embassy, spoke about Vietnam and its export/import regulations. Mr Tuan was followed by Maria Gray from NZTE, who presented an overview of the expanding trade opportunities. The youth market, in particular, is expanding rapidly in Vietnam. Nearly 30% of the current population are under 15 years old.

Then representatives from two companies currently doing business with Vietnamese companies shared their experiences. William Wetere, from Te Awamutu Coffee, and Mark Williams, CEO of Pureagri. gave the group information, advice, and a sample of Vietnam coffee.

This was an informative business session for New Zealand businesses thinking of doing business in Vietnam, or expanding their export markets.
