Philip Northcott and his wife Judith have been thinking about getting a smartphone for sometime. The Northcotts run an entertainment business called Big Fun Events; parties run by them feature clowns, bouncy castles and makeup artists. Philip even gets into character as ‘Dallas the Clown.’
Big Fun Events have been a member of the Chamber of Commerce for three years. They completed the Auckland Chamber of Commerce’s quarterly Business Confidence Survey last week and were entered in the draw to win an iPad Mini, supplied courtesy of sponsors OfficeMax.
Judith says that they always take the time to respond to the Business Confidence Survey. ‘We do it to keep ourselves informed about what’s happening out there in the economy; they are good questions to be asking yourself and it makes you take a step back and think about what is happening out there and where your business is going”.
Philip’s name was drawn from almost 1,000 entries and the Northcotts popped in today to collect their prize. Philip was very pleased with the prize, although he explained that his kids will be setting it up for him. He plans to use his new iPad to help promote their business and will now be able to take photos and videos at their events.
He offered to change into his Dallas the Clown outfit, but we said we’d be fine without.
Congratulations to Philip and Judith!
